OMG. We are can’t get enough of this super easy-to-make flower belt! Follow the instructions below to make an accessory that’s totally unique! Email a photo of your belt to tellus@fashionplaytes.com!
What you’ll need:
- Flower and leaf stencils (about 3 in. across)
- 15 ft. of yarn or leather cord
- Several sheets of colored craft foam
- A pair of scissors
- A hole punch
- A handful of colorful beads!
How to make your awesome belt!
- 1. Take the flower or leaf stencil and trace a bunch of flowers/leaves with a pencil (or pen) on the different colored craft foam!
- 2. Carefully cut out the shapes.
- 3. Next, use your hole punch & make 2 holes - a finger-width away from each other - in the center of the flower (so it’ll be easy to weave the string or cord through without tearing the foam).
- 4. Cut (3) 5 ft. long cords or strings.
- 5. Next, carefully thread the cords - up through your first hole and back down through the second hole - in each shape! After you’re done threading, you can move the shapes wherever you want along the cords.
- 6. Want to make it extra fancy? Try braiding the string between each foam shape! Another option is to add more flowers with different knots/beads in between them to be ultra creative! To secure each end, tie several knots.
