The other day, we gave you the first part of our back-to-school shopping tips, which included going through your closet and making a list of items that you definitely need. Here are the next steps.
1. Add some fun, trendy items to your list. It’s time to add some stylish, trendy pieces to round out your back-to-school wardrobe and make it ready for Fall 2013.
-
Browse sites you love, like the Style Mag here on FPgirl. You’ll discover exciting fall trends.
-
Don’t go crazy! Focus on adding 3-4 stylish pieces to your list.
-
Always think about how these items will work with your current wardrobe. Because what’s the point in spending money on a garment that you can only realistically wear once or twice, right?
2. Compare and share lists. It’s always fun to share shopping lists with your BFFs. But don’t stop there! Share the list with your mom, big sister, grandma, dad, or whoever usually takes you shopping. Why? If they see that you’ve done your “homework,” they might be more open to buying that garment you love. Also! They can find coupons and sales (adults are good like that).
3. Go shopping and have fun!! Since you’ve done your homework, the actual shopping should be lots of fun. Enjoy and get psyched for fall!
What fall fashion item is on your “wish list” this year, FPgirl?? Tell us in a comment!

I’m going to the mall this weekend with my birthday money (my birthday is Friday, August 23rd), and I’m definitely going to go to Justice and Aeropostale. They r both having a back 2 school sale and I know exactly what I want.
I’m going to get a pair of skinny jeans and a pair of bootcut jeans at Justice (they fit better and are cheaper that Aeropostale’s jeans), and i’m going to get a few must have shirts at Aeropostale. Can’t wait until Saturday!!
Congrats! happy birthday!
I’m not so fond of shopping but im really for designing my own clothing when I design my own cloths I feel like
A designer that can show there clothes out like at justice or aero or the gap
I luv luv luv Fp girl❤❤❤❤❤
I love to shop @ gap for back to school clothes because they have cute pullover sweaters to put on over my uniform polo. Claires has pretty much every accessery you’ll ever need! c: And office depot has really cool school supplies. peace, love, and fashion, Ellagirl11
Cute, but I am starting to feel kinda left out b/c I am homeschooled. Can’t go shopping when 1. you are homeschooled so no reason to buy new clothes and 2. if you have 4 other siblings! I have 2 go to goodwill all the time . . . I wish they would make those things prettier!!! And less gross. But still, I am fashion friendly so can make-do with interesting things from second hand stores . . .
I feel left out too! I’m homeschooled also
Hey…have u ever gone to Plato’s closet? They have used name brand clothes for cheap prices and they have to be in good condition for them to take them.
I’m homeschooled too, but I only have three siblings…and they’re all boys:( I couldn’t imagine having another sibling!
But at some point u r going 2 need new clothes (when u grow out of ur clothes that u already have, so look up Plato’s closet’s and see if u have one in ur area and then tell ur parents about it.
Hope I helped!
I like cool graphic print tees!
