HOLD A FASHION SHOW!

At a fashion show party, girls can get creative with their designs and then ‘walk the runway’ to show their creations. Here are some ideas to make the party a success. Instructions for all activities described here are available at fpgirl.com/parties.

BEFORE THE GIRLS WALK THE RUNWAY

Hair/make-up stations: Girls love getting the red carpet treatment - so stations where they can get their hair and nails done are always a hit. This is a great time to try new hairstyles - like fishtail braids (see the video in the FPGirl Fashion School for a quick how-to). Make-up can be as simple as lip gloss and sparkly eye shadow.

Spin the Nail Polish Game*: Try this game for a fun way for the girls to paint their nails!

Getting Dressed: If the girls have designed shirts on FPGirl - you can decide either to keep their designs ‘secret’ until they walk the runway, or share them while they’re getting ready. Let the party girl decide!

Accessories: Let girls get creative by designing accessories to match their designs. These can be as simple as duct-tape bracelets. You can find how-to instructions for bracelets, belts, pins and more here in our DIY Craft area. Take a look and pick a craft that works for you.

Picture Frames: If you plan to take and share photos from the party - girls could also decorate picture frames to hold their photos - another way to get creative at the party!

WALKING THE RUNWAY:

And now for the fun - walking the runway! We provide instructions on both setting up a runway and a photoshoot*. Your choice!

Fun Fashion Awards: You can celebrate girls' creativity at the party by giving out Fashion Awards - for most creative, most colorful, most fun and more. Print out our Award Template and just fill it in!

After participating in these glamorous party activities any model is sure to be in the mood for some fabulous fashion treats.

Fashion Cake: There are several fun ways to make a cake that fits the theme of the party, including a Runway Cake that’s a mini model of the Runway the girls walked at the party. You can also decorate a Cake that looks like a T-shirt, or make a Doll Cake.

Fun Fashion Cookies: You can find fun fashion cookie cutouts on Amazon.com and fashion cupcake toppers on etsy.com. Make fun fashion cookies that girls can decorate themselves using icing, sprinkles or candy.

After a long day of fun allow for guests to unwind as it gets closer to part ways. As guests start to leave one-by-one make sure to thank them for joining the party and expressing their unique style. We hope you have a wonderful party!
