BFFs Always Have your Back!
From the name, it’s pretty obvious what National Friendship Day is for. It’s a day where we celebrate those who have stood with us, supported us, and laughed with us. It’s a day where we celebrate the individuals whom we are lucky enough to call friends. So, when National Friendship Day comes around on August 2nd, why not go out and celebrate with a close friend or a group? It’ll totally be worth it! To help you, we’ve come up with a list of activities to do with your friends and to commemorate all your years of friendship thus far.
- Send a Nice Card
National Friendship Day was actually created to help Hallmark sell more cards between holidays. Although it was more of a commercial move, there’s nothing wrong with buying your friends a pretty card and writing them a nice message.
- Give your Friend a Gift

Along with a card, why not get your friend a gift? It’s a great way to show your appreciation for all of the fun times you’ve had together. Make something for them or buy something you know they like.
- Friendship Bracelets
This age-old tradition is still here and still as fun as ever! Pick out your favorite pattern or color and get crafting. Making friendship bracelets is a great way to spend some quiet time together and when the bracelets are done, you can wear them as a sign of your continuing friendship.
- Go Shopping

Hit the air-conditioned malls and stroll down the linoleum lanes to take a browse. Try on some really crazy clothing and mismatch outfits with your friends. You’ll be sure to laugh at the results.
- Get Ice Cream Together

If it’s hot out, walk or bike to your nearest ice cream store and share a couple cones with your buddies. It’ll be a great and tasty way to cool down and relax with your friends. You’ll be surprised at how much you can talk about over your favorite scoop of ice cream.
- Go Out to Eat

Decide where you want to go for lunch or dinner and then head over to your choice restaurant. Gorge on your favorite foods and dessert then split the bill with your friends.
You should probably go out for a walk afterwards to work off some of the carbs.
- Make a Fort

Forts don’t have to be just for kids! It’ll be a fun and bonding experience as you try to set up a blanket fort together. Once it’s done, layer the ground with pillows and climb into your fort. You can read, chat or watch a movie from under the cozy covers.
- Go to the Spa Together

There’s nothing like getting beautified with your best friend by your side. Head over to your local spa and get a mud mask and steam bath and get ready to be pampered. By the time you’ve both finished, you’ll be twin beauty queens.
- Give Each Other Makeovers
This doesn’t have to be serious, in fact, messing around is encouraged! Give your friends blue lips and green eye shadow and for good measure, give them a healthy dose of blush. Serious or not, be sure to take lots of pictures!
- Play a Board Game
Go into your basement and find the stack of dusty board games you put away a long time ago. Dust off a few and invite your friends over to play old throwbacks like “Sorry!”, “Life” and “Monopoly.” It’s always fun to bond with friends over games and enjoy the natural, yet energetic atmosphere they create.
- Go Fishing
Find a creek or small pond and get fishing! Though you may not get any bites from fish, it’ll be super fun hanging out with your friends. While you wait for your next bite, you can enjoy the scenery and have meaningful conversations with your friends!
- Go on a Biking Trip
http://weheartit.com/entry/70151335/search?context_type=search&context_user=brigittekiss&query=biking+trip+with+friends
Get a change of scenery and go for a bike ride around town or on a bike path. It’s always great to exercise and it’s even better to exercise with a friend so that it seems less strenuous. Enjoy the sights and sounds you’ll see and above most, enjoy the company of your friend(s).
- Bake Together
Cakes, brownies, cookies, there’s a classic charm to creating something sweet with your best friend. Try not to get too messy and bake up a big batch of of your favorite goodies. Also, don’t eat too many at once or you’ll get a sugar crash!
- Play Laser Tag

A largely under-valued activity, get sweaty and active with a group of your friends. Teamwork in physical activities always tightens bonds of friendship and laser tag is a great way to do so! The adrenaline and excitement of the chase is second to none.
- Karaoke
If you’re nearing the end of National Friendship Day why not sing a few soulful tunes to the karaoke? Even if your voice doesn’t sound like an angel, you’ll have a blast singing familiar tunes with your best buddies.
