4. Neon Nails
This part neon, part nude nail art is perfect for anyone looking for an edgier take on the classic moon manicure. All you need to complete these DIY nail designs is your favorite neon polish, some tape, and a base coat. Add a coat or two of your base color, let it dry, and then place two strips of tape at the tips of your nail in a V shape. Pain on two thin coats of your neon polish, then pull off the tape while the pain is still wet. Magic!

5. Dots
Go super-simple or super-glam with this easy dot pattern- and don’t worry if you don’t own any fancy dot-painting gadgets. Our FP staff member Sadie uses a bobby pin to make this perfect look. Just dip the longer end into your favorite polish and dot, dot, dot away!

6. Sharpie
These super-simple DIY nail designs will let you express as much (or as little!) of your creative side as you like. Just grab your favorite polish color, paint on two layers and let dry. Then grab a fine point Sharpie pen and doodle away! We love the idea of having every nail be slightly different, like Lyndar the Merciless does over on her blog:

7. Glitter Ombre
Getting the perfect glitter ombre can be a bit tricky, which is why FP staff member Shandy likes to use glitter nail polish, rather than loose glitter, to make this look. She suggests painting your nails with your favorite base color, then grabbing a silver glitter polish at your closest drug store (or bathroom cabinet) to paint the bottom half of your nail with, like this:

8. The Herringbone Mani
This super-chic herringbone mani can be perfect for summer with the right color combos. The gals over at The Beauty Department suggest painting your base coat an hour or even the night before attempting this pattern:
9. Turquoise and Gold Stone
Using this surprisingly simple method you can make your nails look like beautiful turquoise stones. All you need to make this glamorous look is some turquoise nail polish (we <3 this one!), some gold polish (like this one) and a plastic bag. So simple!
10. Lace Nails
Out of all the DIY nail designs, this technique is the simplest and is perfect for those of us that aren’t as artistically inclined. Grab an old piece of lace, wrap it around your nail, and dab your favorite nail polish on with a makeup sponge. It’s an impressive look in little to no time!
