Better Late Than Never!

Happy Monday FP girls! We know we went a little of schedule last week missing our usual Friday celebrity quiz roundup but an allergy wave has come our way leaving some of our FP girls a little under the weather! Today we are back in action and ready to report all the happenings of last week. Let’s start with Taylor Swift!

Singing A Different Tune

This week Taylor Swift called out iTunes and Apple as a company about their new music streaming service but mostly about the disservice they were doing to artists. Basically Apple said that they would offer users a free 3 month trial period and during that period they would also go without paying the artists for their music. When TSwift got wind of this she very publicly stated that she would be pulling all of her music from the platform if they dared to not pay the artists. Bold move Swift! Turns out the female pop artist has enough pull that she was able to get Apple to see the wrong in their ways and publicly apologized and set the record straight. TSwift saves the world yet again!

Zendaya at the BET Awards

Here at FP, we just love Zendaya. She is such a confident, talented, and beautiful girl. Best of all, she is not afraid to stand up for herself! Zendaya made an appearance at this week’s BET awards sporting a delightfully short pixie cut and a somewhat short for our taste but dazzling and sparkly dress. The paparazzi had no problems giving the young celeb some flack about her style but she stayed above it all and stands by her choices for a unique and conversation starter look. It’s official! Taylor Swift is absolutely smitten with her new man Calvin Harris. Soon to be known strictly for his gf and not his music, Calvin is lucky enough to call Swift his lady and pretty much announced it to the world after her amazing feat with Apple this week. This past week our Supreme Court of the United States passed the federal law that marriage is a right to all couples. This means that gay marriage is now a possibility in all 50 states! Although this feature does not shine light on one particular celebrity, many of our favorite stars and singers are women with wives and men with husbands. It is important, especially when growing up, that we learn to embrace people for their differences and never exclude anyone!
