Here at FP, we love to see women succeed, that’s why this week we want to talk about Sheryl Sandberg. Once an executive at Google, she joined Facebook in 2008 and became the first woman on their board, helping to grow the use of the social network globally.

Not only that, but Sheryl widely promotes women taking charge, taking risks, and self-confidence. She stands to create a workplace where men and women alike can pursue the same leadership goals, regardless of gender.

She stresses the importance of good leadership, not just for your own benefit, but for others. It might sound cheesy, but you have an impact on those around you, so being the best you can be is inspiring.

Too often we can feel that what we say isn’t important or doesn’t matter. We are all capable of greatness, and it’s all of our responsibility to make sure that we support each other. You are strong, show them!

Do not reduce yourself, let your imagination run wild! Sheryl promotes big thinking. Just because some ideas might seem crazy doesn’t mean that they aren’t valuable. It might take 1,000 idea’s to have your best one, and that’s okay, it’s an exercise for your brain!

Sheryl makes a lot of strong arguments to inspire women to be the best they can be, and we think this is huge. Even if everyone in the world believes in you, it won’t matter unless you believe in you. Support yourself and take chances! You won’t know what works until you try.
